The command tent I was stationed in was full of silence, broken only by the chugging of Liberty Prime's generator, and my joyous laughter.
"Going to let us in on the joke? Because I sure as hell am not going to be surrendering the great Republic of Dave to any force on your say-so!" President Dave threw the words at my face, pressing the point forward with his forefinger. This just made me laugh all the more.
"Well, first, I doubt I'll lose against this ivory tower idiot. Second, you're right, I don't have the say-so to do any of the surrendering, but he does." I replied.
"What do you, oh, oh you crazy bastard." Elder Sarah Lyons sai

CHAPTER 14
Cera woke the following day to not only the smell of bacon, but the sound of it as well. She could hear her friend preparing breakfast: the noise of the frying pan moving on the stove, the bubbling hiss of bacon, the tung of the toaster and of course the happy cries of many kittens. It was a great incentive to get out of bed. She had a knee-length sleeping shirt on and that was good enough. When she moved past the curtain and into the common area, Garadun was taking bacon from the pan and putting it onto a plate. He cracked a couple of large eggs and set them frying.
“Hey there, beautiful,” he said amiably.
